My son actually said that I had skills and should do this stuff for a living! Yay…. I feel so proud. I have been busy working on my oldest son’s room makeover. He said that is what he wanted for his birthday this year and it was definitely due for an update. I only got a few before pictures of the furniture and I haven’t located the before pics of his room so really only the after pictures are here for you to see and those were taken with my phone (sorry). My camera battery is dead. I wanted to get this post up so this will have to do. It was just a plain, no character room before…. it’s now probably the best looking room in the house. 🙂 He loves it. I hope you like it too. The dresser and night stand came from a thrift store 10 years ago and was pretty worn out. The headboard was my grandfathers. He was sleeping on a futon before the makeover. ( He loves sleeping in a real bed now). This room was done on a serious budget. less than 250.00 for everything including paint, bedding, window treatment and all the accessories. I got pretty creative with everything trying to incorporate who he is in this room. Little touches of things that he loves here and there. I purchased everything at thrift stores, salvation army and garage sales. With the exception of the bedding and curtains. I wanted it to have a masculine, modern high-end look but comfortable at the same time. I think I achieved that. He said that he feels like he is in a nice hotel room. (MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!) HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
